FAQs
How much spot-free rinse water does the RO10K produce?
The RO10K produces up to 10,300 gallons per day (7.15 GPM) of spot-free rinse water. Production rates are based on softened feed water at 77°F and will vary with incoming water temperature and conditions.
What water quality does the RO10K produce?
The RO10K uses reverse osmosis to remove up to 99% of dissolved solids and impurities from incoming water. For spot-free rinse applications, RO water should measure 10 PPM TDS or less. An onboard TDS sensor continuously monitors permeate water quality and displays the reading on the system controller.
Does the RO10K require a storage tank?
Yes. The RO10K produces spot-free rinse water into an RO storage tank rather than supplying the wash directly on demand. Tank level switches automatically control RO production, while a repressurization pump can be used to deliver stored RO water to the wash at the required pressure.
Can I use my existing RO storage tanks and repress pump?
The RO10K’s modular configuration allows it to be paired with compatible existing storage, repressurization, and pretreatment equipment when appropriate. New carbon filtration, storage tanks, and repressurization equipment are also available to complete the system based on site requirements.
What pretreatment does the RO10K require?
Pretreatment depends on the quality of the incoming water. The RO10K requires softened feed water and free chlorine below 0.1 PPM. Depending on site water conditions, pretreatment may also include carbon filtration, iron filtration, or other water treatment equipment to protect the RO membrane and maintain system performance.
What maintenance does the RO10K require?
Routine maintenance includes monitoring spot-free water TDS, checking incoming water for free chlorine, inspecting the system for leaks or wear, and maintaining pretreatment equipment. The RO10K also performs automatic startup and shutdown membrane flush cycles to help reduce fouling and maintain membrane performance over time.
