Installation Preparation #
- The unloading of the dispense should be done with the use of a forklift or pallet jack
- Uncrate the equipment and ensure nothing has been not damaged during transportation prior to beginning installation.
Tools and Materials #
- 3/8โ and ยฝโ poly tube, and ยพโ ID hose for high flow functions
- Teflon tape
- Hose/ tubing cutter
- Wire strippers
- Screwdriver set including torx
- Screw gun/ drill/ driver with attachments
- PPE
- Latex or equivalent gloves
- Eye protection
- Hearing protection
Placement #
- Locate where the equipment will be installed with your installer
- Take into consideration the following points:
- Location of the water supply for the dispenseIT
- Location of the air supply for the dispenseIT
- Location of the 3ph electric supply for the dispenseIT
- Location of the control wiring from tunnel controller for the dispenseIT
- Location of any equipment that may be spraying water
- Distance from the dispenseIT to the applicator arches
- Take into consideration the following points:
Electrical Connections – Pump #
- Have a qualified electrician install conduit/ wire from the breaker panel to the dispenseITโs pump location. Follow the local/ state/ national electrical codes
- 5HP 17.5 amps @208 โ 15.2 amps @230/240 or 7.6 amps @ 480
- 7.5HP 25.3 amps @ 208 โ 22 amps @ 230/240 or 11 amps @ 480
Electrical Connections – Control #
- Have a qualified electrician install conduit/ wire from the tunnel controller to the dispenseITโs control box location
- Follow the local/ state/ national electrical codes
- Required conductors โ (1) for each function, (1) system-neutral/ common, (1) system ground
Plumbing #
- Have a qualified plumber install a water feed line to the location of the dispenseIT. Follow the local/ state/ national plumbing codes
- On existing buildings, flush the new water line for a minimum of 5 minutes to ensure that any debris in theย water line is completely flushed out
- On new buildings, flush for a minimum of 15 minutes to ensure that any debris in the water line is completely flushed out
- Ensure that the plumber deburrs the inside of all pipe connections.
- Black iron and aluminum are not acceptable materials
- PVC, copper, stainless steel are acceptable materials for water lines
- Have a qualified plumber install the air feed line to the location of the dispenseIT. Follow local/ state/ nationalย plumbing codes
- PVC should NOT be used for the air-feed line.
- Acceptable materials to use for the air-feed line are, stainless steel, copper, black iron and aluminum.
- On existing buildings, flush the new water line for a minimum of 5 minutes to ensure that any debris in theย water line is completely flushed out
